As comfortable as a Kalawi Farm peach: Carpet
Okay, we have to confess, when we are not hanging out in the store or showing a job, there is a good chance that we are down the road at the farmer’s market picking up some peach ice-cream for a snack. Now, our carpets may not taste as fine as a North Carolina peach, but they sure feel good underfoot. So, if you are looking for a soft and fuzzy treat for your feet, we at Moore Floors, have some carpet we would like to show you.
Styles to suit every taste
When most people think of carpet flooring, they think of a typical twist, more technically called a "cut pile." These rugs are the kinds that people usually like to sink their toes into when it is wintertime and offer a soft feel underfoot. Similar to the twist is a Saxony, which is designed to give you that formal, velvety look that shows all of your vacuum cleaner marks when you sweep the room.
Similar to the twist is a frieze, which takes the twist to a whole new level. These tufts are twisted more tightly, so much so that they have a little curl to them, adding some texture to the look of the carpet. These tightly twisted strands are also designed to be quite resistant to fraying, which makes them an excellent choice for high-traffic areas. The big brother of a frieze is a shag, which has made a comeback in terms of carpet styles.
A Berber is a loop pile carpet, similar to the design of a commercial rug, but with a taller, looser loop, blending the durability of a commercial floor with the softness of a residential one. Also, many of the Berbers are patterned, providing another option to create a distinct look and appearance to your room. Further, if patterned carpets appeal to you, we offer carpets with a blend of cut and loop pile in a pattern as well.

Carpet binding
Perhaps you find a carpet that you fall in love with, but you have hard surfaces in your home. We can easily have any rug cut to size and bound to suit your needs. With the binding, we typically also add a non-skid backing to prevent them from scuffing up your hardwood or any other surface below the rug.
Carpet padding
And don’t forget the padding. A good pad can make even a more modest carpet feel like a million dollars. Plus, the proper padding adds years of wear to the style you choose. One of our knowledgeable sales personnel would be happy to direct you toward the pad that will best serve both the carpet you are choosing and the area in which the carpet will be installed.
