Clubs and floors, what else would you do with hardwood?
If you know the Southern Pines area, you know that we are famous for our golf courses. And so, for those of us who live in this area, when someone mentions wood, there are only two things that come to mind: golf clubs and flooring. At Moore Floors, while we know a little about the first, the second is our true passion.
Three questions
When it comes to buying hardwood flooring, there are three questions that you need to answer to get started: what, where, and how. What kind of flooring are you looking for? Where will the floor be installed? And, in what manner would you like it installed?

What
Let’s begin with the "what." In what kind of floor are you interested? Perhaps you are interested in the traditional American red oak or a European white oak floor. Perhaps you would prefer the look and feel of a pine or spruce wood floor. Here alone you have a variety of colors and styles to choose from, but we are just getting started. We offer maple, cherry, hickory, walnut, kupay, and even tigerwood to name but a few options. We even have options that are hand-distressed, giving the wood planks more of a rustic feel.
Where
Typically, solid wood floors don’t fare well in basements or on slab construction due to the moisture coming up through the concrete. Yet, do not lose hope; there are engineered floors available. An engineered wood flooring is composed of a thin layer of wood mounted on top of a plywood backing. The plywood protects and stabilizes it from the moisture, thus making basements a reality.
How
We offer you two options by way of installation. We can install your factory-finished floor or we can install a floor that has not been factory finished and then finish it for you on-site. The main advantage of an on-site finishing of your new hardwood is that it gives you more freedom in terms of the stain colors, allowing our installers to customize your floor color to match cabinets, special pieces of furniture, or whatever trim may already be present in the house.
